Is there any chance to make this theme work w/ IE6 ? what are the best versions of moin to use with explorer 2.x?
I've tried with the below versions and IE gets into an infinite loop.
Probably this is not the theme's fault but end result is I can't use the Wiki in my organization since we haven't moved to IE7 yet (ever?). My setup:
- explorer-theme-2.0beta2.zip
- moin-1.6.0rc1.tgz
- Python-2.5.1 compiled from source
- O/S SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (i586) VERSION = 9 PATCHLEVEL = 3 (the moin server of course)
- CGI mode
- apache httpd-2.2.6
Thank you for reporting this problem. Well, I didn't intend to make the theme compatible to IE6 because it doesn't support CSS2. But I didn't intend that the theme goes into an infinite loop when used by an inappropriate browser either. So I worked on the theme and included some IE6 fixes that makes it possible to even use the theme with IE6 without loss of functionality. So the theme got compatible with IE6 by release 2.0rc. Please note however that the theme displays in a less pleasant way because of the lack of IE6 supporting transparent png images. If that doesn't bother you, feel free to use the theme.
Explorer theme 2.x releases work only with moin 1.6.
