Forwardporting from 1.6 to 1.7
This is a list of all changesets in 1.6 after 1.7 branch was forked from the 1.6 branch.
We need to do multiple passes on this list, see below.
First pass
- begin at the lower end of the list
- remove stuff that clearly must not be ported to 1.7 or already has been ported to 1.7
Second pass
- begin at the lower end of the list
if you want to work on something, claim the changeset by putting your initials (e.g. RB, RD, AS, TW, ...) in front of it
- check if the candidate(s) already have been ported
- if they either already have been ported or you ported them, remove them from the list
if they have not been ported, but you can't do it, request someone else porting them, put a P in front of them

if you commit a forward ported changeset to 1.7, use "(ported from 1.6)" at the end of your commit comment.
