Description

There are no pull-down menus in the drawing plugin on Mac OS X (Safari or Firefox)

Steps to reproduce

I don't see a menu bar in the drawing applet when I try editing or creating drawings on my Mac (OS X 10.4.7). This is with either Safari (2.0.4) or Firefox (1.5.0.6). I don't know how to check the installed Java version. It's whatever Apple ships.

Example

I've tried this with both drawings on the WikiSandbox page of moinmoin.wikiwikiweb.de as well as the Mojam wiki (http://orca.mojam.com/mojamwiki/) which is running an older version of MoinMoin. I have no trouble editing drawings on my Solaris box at work.

Solution

The menus are added to the menubar of your browser. That is, to the right of the last menu (Help) of Safari or Firefox will be the first menu of the applet. This is rather confusing, but it works fine.

Discussion

Maybe try installing some java from sun. I don't know if this helps for mac, but it helps for the strange java MS ships with windows.
