Description

Creating links using the GUI editor wikipage link and attachment buttons don't work well, creates javascript(0) page names and other mishaps

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use GUI editor
  2. create some text you intend to link to a wiki page with spaces "here is a link"
  3. highlight that text and click on the button to make it a link
  4. in dialog that comes up, specify "here is a link" as the wiki page name then click o.k.
  5. the dialog will minimize but won't go away
  6. if you click cancel it creates a link to something like: javascript:void(0); *1223520255426*

  7. if you now highlight the link in the GUI editor and press delete and save, the above javascript message will appear as the link, or it simply won't go away
  8. You can do the same thing with attachments - just clicking the button to create a link to one will allow you to enter the name but when you click o.k. it does nothing
  9. Create link name for attachment e.g. "LinkToAttachment.pdf"

  10. highlight but text and click the button to make it link to an attachment
  11. enter name yet again for attachment link
  12. click o.k. and the dialog will minimize but it won't go away...

Workaround

Using text mode and not GUI editor and just doing syntax directly - however, one of the main reasons I wanted to use MoinMoin was the GUI editor because I like to see things how they will look while I'm creating them as much as possible.

Discussion

Update to 1.8.0rc and the GUI editor will work! -- GurkPeter
