Description

Attaching or deleting a file (as in the case of an inline image) does not automatically refresh a page. If one considers adding or deleting an inline image akin to editing a page, shouldn't a page refresh automatically accompany the attach/delete file action?

I can't reproduce this on this wiki.

Add attachment:

  1. Add attachment:test.jpg

  2. Page is displayed with "add new attachment link
  3. Click the link, upload attachment
  4. Return to page
  5. Attachment is displayed - correct

Delete Attachment:

  1. Click del link on the attachment view
  2. Return to page
  3. Attachment gone, show add attachment link - correct

Please add an example link and the steps to reproduce this bug. -- NirSoffer 2004-12-09 17:38:42

This Wiki' SystemInfo reports 1.3.0 Revision patch-415 while the one I've installed on Windows 2000 using the MoinMoin 1.3.0 tar.gz archive referenced in the MoinMoinDownload page reports 1.3.0 Revision patch-399. Is the http://moinmoin.wikiwikiweb.de Wiki running a newer version than the release available on the web? If so, then maybe this issue was fixed in the interim? -- MartinGignac 2004-12-09 22:03:40

Latest code? Oops, sorry then. Next time I'll know to try it out on this Wiki first before posting a bug.

Unfortunately no, my Wiki is not public. Actually it's not even on the Internet. I'm just running it on my home Windows XP (the part about Windows 2000 above was a mistake) with Apache 2.50.0 to try out 1.3.0 before I try migrating my work Wiki site (1.2.4).

Yes, I made sure of that. Still, the only way to actually get the update version of the page with the inline image is to use the Wiki's Refresh option.

Seeing as how you cannot reproduce it on the live Wiki, maybe it's just better to cancel this bug report. I'll wait until 1.3.1 comes out and I'll see if I get the same thing or not. I doubt using Windows XP or Python 2.3.4 would make a difference, and since you can't reproduce it, it's probably not worth pursuing.

I just installed 1.3.0 on a FreeBSD machine with Python 2.3.4 and Apache 1.3.33 and I don't see this problem anymore. Maybe it's just due to some weird combination of elements on my home Wiki...
