Short description

With introducing openid we can setup a wiki as openid server. This gives us singlesignon on all wikis where you enable this feature.

We have lots of wikis and on some wikis we do have users and usergroups. Currently you do have to setup always on all wikis your group definitions. I do think we should find a way to get the openid wiki "user"server to share "group" definitions too. It should be possible to request if the user is in that group defined there. So that we can use one wiki to setup groups and add users to these groups. It should be possible to overwrite in the local wiki itselfs these group defintion by a "local" group page or to inherit the defintion from the "group"server.

You do have in the acl line the groups to request for.

(!) I think this is unrelated to openid, but a general wiki farm with single-sign-on problem. For a quick solution right now, I would suggest using a cron script and a xmlrpc transferpage script (read WikiA:SomeGroup, write to WikiB:SomeGroup) - there could be a moin xmlrpc transferpage call simplifying this. Later, we'll have a group backend. -- ThomasWaldmann 2008-04-17 10:22:58

Of course it is unrelated to openid but it is a quite good extension for a setup based on single-sign-on e.g. openid.
