Abstract

moin2 desktop/developer installation needs platform testing to figure out whether and where problems exists.

Your task is to test installation and running the builtin server on at least 2 rather different platforms / OS releases, e.g.:

Mac OS X and Windows 7
Fedora Linux and some BSD
SuSE Linux and Windows XP
Windows XP and Windows 8
Android and your desktop OS

Whatever OS you choose, we expect that you have some experience with it and you can manage the usual system administration tasks on it.

You need to specify precisely what platforms / OS releases you want to test when claiming this task!

Details

moin2 is still in an early phase of development. You have to find problems on different platforms and document them.

on different platforms (linux, mac os x, windows, ...)
download from repo, unpack OR checkout from repo
follow our install documentation and check if it works for you (if not, fix the documentation!)
do some interactive testing - does the wiki work as expected?
run py.test, file issues for failing tests (give all details about platform, tracebacks, configuration, etc.)
run some moin script commands - do they work?

Deliverables:

patch for issues you found and fixed, like documentation updates
if there is a bug page or a bitbucket issue for whatever you fixed, close it (see also links)
bitbucket issue tracker issues for all issues you found and you could not fix quickly
