Slideshows in MoinMoin

SlideShowHandOut

I love this macro, I'm in the process of converting all my past talks to wiki and now I can finally be done with powerpoint! The only downside I've found is that having each slide be a different page makes writing the presentation awkward because you can't see all of the slides at one time (and it's cumbersome to cut'n'paste into subpages after it's written). Would it be possible to do presentations on one page with headers or HR's seperating pages? -- AdamShand

Okay, so I've actually used this in the wild now. This morning I give a presentation at Intel Wireless R&D Summit today (IntelTalk). Overall it was quite nice, certainly better then powerpoint. Other then composition being awkward the only other complaint I have is that having to click the >> to go to the next slide is awkward. I'd be really nice if there was a binding or something so that hitting space would go forwards. -- AdamShand

It works with Opera which seems to understand that ">>" means "next page". Hitting Space does the trick. If the links would contain a rel attribute, other browsers should be able to support navigation along with a keystroke (history forward should work, IIRC) -- ChristophKoenig 2007-04-25 12:23:53

I had the same issues with the subpages and the navigation. Numbering the subpages feels too much like writing BASIC ;-). I've had a go at making a new implementation at SinglePageSlideShow, and would be interested in any feedback. -- JimClark
