Hallo Alexander! I would like to know when you will release MMDE 1.6 (or maybe directly 1.6.1)? I would like to use it together with the Action Planner plugin. Vielen Dank - mkrause1<<AT>>gmail.com

Hi Alexander! Just came up with this since I have just answered a question on http://wikimatrix.org, where some person wanted to run his personal wiki completely from an usb stick. That's no problem with the exe-standalone for win users I told him. How about linux and mac os? Is there a way to run the MMDE python versions also from a thumbdrive, i.e. can I run Python from a thumbdrive?? Just found this, but cannot judge it: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2004-June/265202.html). Maybe you can.. -- OliverSiemoneit 2007-05-21 17:32:32

Alexander: I'm happy to see that Hierarchical ACL will soon be available as a standard feature. Am I correct in understanding that you added the final implementation? You may have noticed my comments on the page HierarchicalAccessControlList... since then I found MoinMoinPatch/HierarchicalACL, and the code in that patch looks like a correct, MoinMoin-consistent implementation. Will the released feature work like that patch?

I also noticed that both the code comments and the documentation on MoinMaster are incomplete / incorrect (based on the patch code). I'd like to spruce up the documentation, but need to check if I have it right before editing MoinMaster. Could you look this over and let me know? Thanks! -- SteveDavison 2007-07-15 06:24:25

Page A/B/C/D is processed as follows:
       acl_rights_before, A/B/C/D, A/B/C, A/B, A, [acl_rights_default], acl_rights_after
The rights for each page (A, A/B, etc.) represents only the #acl line on that page, and does not include the "before", "after", or "default" rights. The default rights are optional, and only included if none of the pages in the hierarchy had an #acl line.
